Community Polytechnic Scheme

LIst of Polytechnics

The Government of India in the Ministry of Human Resource Development have introduced Community Polytechnic Scheme in the year 1970 to develop interaction with rural people, especially for educated unemployed youth. The Government of India provided 100% aid to this Scheme in respect of both recurring and non recurring funds which covers the purchase of machinery& equipment and allied materials to train the rural youth in different trades.

Aims and objectives:

1.To transfer technology to village level.
2.To train educated unemployed youth as skilled men/ Women for the development in appropriate trade suitable    to the village
3.To provide services for enrichment of social and cultural life in the rural areas.
4.To develop production cum training centres.
5.Community development

6.Dissemination of information on rural development.

Activities :

1.Socio economic survey and planning.
2.Transfer of technology.
3.Manpower Development and Training.
4.Technical services.
5.Support services
